The Wax Museum
(a lesson in lying)

Once attracted, to flames of knowing,
Travelling the great halls, of museums,
Trying to pause the flickering jewels,
Capturing in sketchbooks,
Now thrown away…

No longer hovering upon,
What now became…
Melting wax pedestals gladly gladly
Falling slowly away…

And with it all argument;
the rhetorics of cleverness,
of cynical empty play…

So please, do not ask of me,
For a meaning, a reason,
I gave it all away…

Along with all hope, of fixity…
All now is wax,
All now is…

Blissful decay…
